If we’re including tv shows, there’s the **Modern Family** ep (S9,Ep1) where they plan to watch an eclipse from a houseboat on a lake. It’s actually pretty funny even though the series had already started to lose steam. ---

_King Solomon’s Mines_ (1937, among other versions) and _Apocalypto_ (2006) both have convenient eclipses saving the heroes from execution. ---
