Also, shows building hyper-advanced robots and AIs using the tech of the day, making with an 8088 something that is still impossible with a modern supercomputer.

Well, yeah, not only that, but I completely forgot about the fact that they’re shown flying around in Cloud City at the end of TESB.

I seem to remember TIE’s on Bespin?

TIE fighters specifically _don’t_ usually have deflector shields; [they](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/TIE_Series) are ultra bare bones, designed as fast but disposable. Short ranged, no hyperdrive, no shields.

> Very few TIE starfighters were equipped with combat shielding, though they were included on the Avenger and Defender and could be retrofitted onto most TIE types. This lack of shielding was a factor toward the TIEs extreme speed. Retrofitting of this type was fairly common in the New Republic era, as ships and manpower became more valuable to Imperial forces.

It’s weird to watch Blazing Saddles now and become shocked at the massive use of the N-word throughout. Watching it 30 years ago didn’t produce the same reaction. And a couple of the uses were quite funny.

This is so 2019.
