The first one that comes to mind is “Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon”, and some accounts state that the movie is lost.

“Marie: A True Story” is another, although it is available through Warner On Demand.

Yet another is “FM”, although copyright issues for the soundtrack explain why.

Any others come to mind?

It’s on YouTube, so it can’t be _that_ lost.

[Batman Fights Dracula](http://lostmedia.wikia.com/wiki/Batman_Fights_Dracula_%281967_Filipino_Film%29) is lost, which is a real tragedy because that has to be the best movie ever made. It’s got Batman. It’s got Dracula. And they _fight!_ What more could anybody want out of anything ever?

The one I always bring up in these sort of discussions: [Get Crazy!](http://www.amazon.com/Get-Crazy-Malcolm-McDowell/dp/B00005JKQ7/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383196344&sr=8-1&keywords=get+crazy+dvd)

Still a lot of movies not available for purchase, even ones not that old. Well, it WAS available for purchase on VHS back around 1985, and you can probably scare up some old copies somewhere, but it’s not currently produced and can’t be bought new. I bought one (actually TWO, the first had lousy sound) on Ebay ~ten years back, and put it on DVD for my own use.

Eventually they’ll put them all in digital form for purchase and download. Eventually.

By an amazing coincidence, I was just watching this movie yesterday.

I doubt that it is lost–I saw it on the Late Show a couple of times back in the 1980s.

However, if the Powers That Be determine that “Junie Moon” won’t sell a lot of DVDs or BluRays, then I guess they wont release it on those media.

Pity, because I think its a great film. I’d like to have my own copy.

I recall _ **The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams** _ was very popular when it hit theaters in 1974. (My parents took me to see it.) But I can’t find it on DVD. Though it looks like someone is selling a VHS version of the film for [$123](http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000S2KKV4/ref=sr_1_3_olp?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1383216114&sr=1-3&keywords=The+Life+and+Times+of+Grizzly+Adams&condition=new).

Is this a woosh? This has already been discussed to death.

From one of the [earlier threads](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=10019351):

> [@What happened to the alternate ending to Big?](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/what-happened-to-the-alternate-ending-to-big/456801/56):
>
> There was no alternate ending to Big. We established this already.
>
> The ending of the Disney made-for-TV rip-off of Big made no sense, but the beginning and middle was pretty sucky too. The character didn’t become an adult overnight by some behind the scenes mysterious magic, he jumped into a device that made vegetables bigger.

From an even [earlier thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=109762):

> [@Anyone else remember the alternate ending to "Big"?](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/anyone-else-remember-the-alternate-ending-to-big/103864/169):
>
> It’s surprising that the alternate ending isn’t mentioned by the director in her autobiography (which of course discusses her ‘big’ hit), isn’t on the extended edition DVD (which does have other deleted scenes), and that the actress who played young Susan isn’t talking about her brush with greatness. It’s also somewhat odd that Disney copied the alternate ending for “14 Going on 30” without complaints from the writers or producers of “Big.”

I rented that on VHS (back when VHS’s were still being rented.) Is it really no longer available?

Huh, I guess you’re right. The only VHS copies for it I see on Amazon are used ones for $39.99+
