I think Rudy and Mike saw this movie and decided they would do everything they could to prevent it from happening, overcompensating in the other direction. Given my age at the time of The Warriors (young teen), I think I would have really liked all those gangs with their costumes.

The music’s cool, but the videos are a bit cheesy. But still, how many groups sampled The Warriors?
I must admit that I spent a wasted evening, 1990-something in Detroit, getting drunk with them on their tour bus, discussing the merits of their song Wake Up, Time To Die.

She actually did a sitcom with Ted Knight soon after the Warriors… “Too Close For Comfort”, so she’s been one of the more successful alumni of The Warriors, that’s for sure.
