Which movies? Any movies written, produced, cast, and directed by fat/nerdy/annoying guys who look in their mirrors and see “10s” and of course they would get the (hot) girl, whyever wouldn’t they??? If they keep putting those movies out there, of course people are going to go see them because that’s what’s out there, and every so often there is a fairly good movie made by a fat annoying nerd who gets the girl. I feel that until fat/nerdy/annoying women start bagging Johnny Depp or Daniel Craig in Movie-land, 10’s ought to pursue other 10’s … and so on.

> One part that bothered me though was the idea that Kristen Bell would be in any way interested in Jay Baruchel’s character.

I haven’t seen Fanboys but I’ve seen both Jay and Kristen in many other things and can imagine them together easily. Unless Jay was ridiculously loserish and Kristen was a bimbo in the movie.

I can from real life experience that gorgeous interesting girls do go for geeky guys if they are also into any geeky thing (role playing, goth, video games, scifi, whatever). They might draw the line at seriously overweight, severe hygiene issues, or extreme social problems, but mere oddness or geekery or being not conventionally attractive are not enough to count them out.

If you’re gonna count Jay Baruchel as being babe proof then I’d say we have to include pretty much every John Cusack movie.

> No, but Ric Ocasek has looked like the first wave of the dessicated zombie corpse invasion pretty much since 1979.

So weird, that’s the second Ric Ocasek reference I’ve heard this week, never having heard of him before in my life!
