A few off the top of my head are:
“They Live” Roddy Piper gets mowed down by a helicopter and with his dying breath flips off the bad guys.
“Braveheart” Mel Gibson gets disembowled before the end.
“Saving Private Ryan” Tom Hanks dies of his wounds at the end.
Of course any movie where the main character has a disease. “My Life” “Life as a House”, etc.

You can assume Tim Roth died at the end of “Reservoir Dogs”

I wonder about the original Alien. I’m pretty sure Ripley wasn’t the main character, but I’m having trouble coming up with one. Maybe Tom Skerritt’s character? (I know I must have butchered the spelling on his name.)
