Hmmm, in “Get Carter” (the original Caine film) a phone call is made before Carter has his revenge, and then afterwards, just as the film is ending, he’s shot by a sniper.

You don’t get to see the sniper before he shoots Carter, only at the very end of the film.

…oddly you missed the one form the same movie where Vader assembles the Bounty Hunters to go and capture the heroes. Pretty much exactly what you describe except for “no disintegrations”.
