**Bonnie and Clyde** was the first film that I know of which featured anti-heroes. Even though you knew they were very, very bad guys you tended to root for them.

_Harry Potter_ (and almost every movie with kids as protagonists)

_Matrix_ I hate those movies, the only good character is agent Smith.

_Pirates of the Caribbean_ I just can’t see Orlando Bloom and Johnny Deep, but both of them in the same movie? Run away!

_Snowhite_ Am I the only one that finds the witch much more interesting than the protagonist? No, wait a minute, Alvy Singer in _Annie Hall_ agrees with me.

_Heat_ The character of Robert de Niro is much nicer than the policeman (Al Pacino)

_Superman_ I mean, he is almost indestructible, able to go back in time, can fly, has x-ray vision… whatever you can think of. And what does Luthor have? Just a twisted little mind and a couple of rocks. And he almost wins. He deserves to win, he has much more merit.

_The Silence of the Lambs_ (the first one) Hannibal Lecter rules!

_Jaws_

_Star Wars_ I don’t like Luke and I don’t like the Ewoks. A triunvirate amongst Han Solo, Darth Vader and R2D2 would be the perfect solution.

Batman - I wanted Jack Nichelson to kick michael keatons ass.

Die Hard 3 - I liked Jeremy Irons’ character more than Bruce Willis…but then again, I like Samuel L. Jackson more than both of them. Nah, I’m going with Jeremy Irons, he put so much work into that crime.

Con Air - Nicholas Cage needed to get his ass kicked and John Malkovich needed to kick it.

AI - was there really a bad guy? I don’t know but I wanted that whiny little brat to get roasted at the Flesh Fair. In fact I wish Speilberg would have been pulled apart at the Flesh Fair after making that terrible, terrible film.

Yes, but Steve Buscemi is the best of them all.

I agree. I only went to see the third installment because I hoped that Smith would triumph in the end. What a rip.

True, I even thought of him when I was posting. In this movie, Buscemi has an interesting character as he was sort of in his own little world so I didn’t include him as one of the potential ass kickers.

_The Shining_ Obvius explanation

_X-Men_

_Spiderman_ The Green Goblin has much more personality.

_Titanic_ I know there are no bad guys, but I desperately want those two deep in the ocean, if possible inside some shark. When that stupid old bitch throws the necklace into the sea after a loooong and boooring film, I just wanted to jump in the screen and throw her after it.

**Romeo is Bleeding** :

Who doesn’t want the Lena Olin to walk out of the courtroom alive?
After the court scene, the movie died as well.

I agree, but only to an extent. I just root really hard for Slytherin to win the House Cup and every possible Quidditch game. And for someone to squinch Hermione into oblivion.

_Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead_. I just found absolutely nothing likeable about any of the characters, except for the hitman (Steve Buscemi) who’d been sent to kill everyone else.

You are going to _love_ Neil Gaiman’s _Snowglassapples_.

I’d love to see Steve Buscemi play a hitman 🙂 .
Tell me, does he succeed?

This doesn’t fall strictly into the wanting the bad guys to win but in _Battlefield Earth_ I wanted everyone to die. Perhaps the bad guys winning and then killing themselves would have worked. If this would have happened in the first 5 minutes of the movie, I’d have been saved much pain.

Oh and when you do add me, I’ll be able to see you on my buddy list, but you won’t be able to see me on your buddy list. I’m not sure why, but no one can see me online. But I’ll play with you whenever I see you on, or at least message you and tell you where I am.

Boy, what a lot of negativity n these respomses. You guys obviously aren’t happy with the way th filmmakers did their jobs.

In my case, it’s because the director, screenwriter, and others did theirs. In **The Day of the Jackal** you end up rooting for _both_ sides. You want The Jackal to kill deGaulle as much as you want Commisair Lebel to prevent it. The assassin overcomes so many obstacles, and is so creative that you acutally end up rooting for him. Amazingly, you can say the same about Lebel – you don’t just root for him because he’s on the side of Law and Order.
