Movies where you want the bad guys to win

Colossus: The Forbin Project

Swordfish

Zeppelin (Obscure Michael York movie from the 70s. Anyone else seen thisin’?)

Most Frankenstein movies, especially Hammer ones. Actually, most horror or scifi movies where the villain is a mad scientist. (“Tampered in god’s domain” my ass…)

Alright, you’re on my buddy list now. you know my playing schedule (11:00pm-???) but it sounds like you don’t play at the same times as I do, so you can email me at joethegoplayguy@yahoo.com whenever you want to meet up. I won’t be doing anything this week other than catching up on homework, watching movies, and sleeping in, so I should be able to meet up with you an pretty much any time of the day.

Partly. He establishes his coolness as soon as he arrives in town by wiping out a whole gang of neo-nazis just because he sees them beating up some innocent guy. He then takes out at least two of the main characters before one of them manages to get the drop on him.

Not a movie, but I’d be glad if the FBI finally came in and killed every mob member in The Sopranos.

Again not a movie, but a TV show with a story arc.

Fushigi Yuugi, an anime series that also goes under the name Mysterious Play.

In one corner, a whiny, snivelling brat whose every need has been cared for in real life, and – now pulled into a fantasy world – has an emperor and a troupe of bodyguards catering to her every whim. And she’s the hero.

The villains are lead by her former best friend, who’s been raped and otherwise humiliated, and who has fallen in love with the heroine’s boyfriend. Most of her coterie is queer, which is apparently supposed to make us hate them all the more. And they’ve all lead hard lives: three of them are survivors of genocide, and one of them is a freed slave.

I’ve seen this series three times, and I’m always so disappointed when the heroes win :frowning:

I wanted Tom Cruise and his samurai buddies to lose in the Last Samurai. I just don’t really sympathize with unrealistic luddite aristocrats that just want to continue kicking peasants around like they have been for centuries. Dieing to maintain a dieing system that put you on top isn’t honor its stupidity and greed.

You can turn off the DVD of Thelma and Louise as they go off the edge and pretend it’s Chittty Chitty Bang Bang.
