Movies with "name" casts that didn't get wide releases

It was entertaining, but some of the casting is odd, and the supernatural bits are clumsily handled and the movie derails whenever it goes there. But TLJ is always worth watching.

Milk 4 stars out of 4
**Australia ** It owes *me *like 8 stars: I will never get that time back
Changeling 3 stars out of 4
Burn After Reading 1 star out of 4, the worst Coen Bros movie since The Ladykillers.

Ok, thanks!

I happened to see Music from Another Room (1998) once on cable. I believe it was initially planned as a theatrical release but wound up being direct to video. It wasn’t awful, but didn’t really seem better than the average made for cable movie. It just had a more famous cast.

It stars Jude Law and Gretchen Mol (who was being touted as a “next big thing” around that time, although she never really made the A List), with some less-than-superstar but recognizable actors like Jennifer Tilly and Jeremy Piven in supporting roles.

Noises Off! was released in fewer than 500 theaters and took in less than three million dollars at the box office. It’s one of my favorite movies, but critics gave it a lukewarm reception.

It had a completely star-studded cast: Carol Burnett, Michael Caine, John Ritter, Marilu Henner, Christopher Reeve, Denholm Elliot, Nicolette Sheridan, Julie Haggerty, and Mark Linn-Baker.

I find it close to unwatchable; the very lowest point of Peter Bogdanovich’s career.
