I thought the tagline for _Sideways_ was pretty bad: _In search of wine. In search of women. In search of themselves._ A much better tagline would have been something about drinking f\*\*cking merlot. ---

Well, I have often expressed my distaste for the film. It didn’t scare me one bit (I don’t get scared by lights on a screen) and the utter stupidity of the crew only pissed me off. Cheap manipulation and an idiot plot. My reaction to each set piece was “Why the hell.are they doing that?” The answer, of course, was to scare the audience, not for any logical story or character reason. I saw it in a theater when it came out, and I don’t recall anyone screaming But it did have a great tagline.
