Fritz Lang’s M isn’t the sequel to CMXCIX.

It was sometimes marketed as Surf II: The End of the Trilogy.

Those must’ve been the Malcolms in the Middle.

28 Days is an alcohol recovery dramedy starring Sandra Bullock. 28 Days Later is a zombie/contagion apocalypse movie starring Cillian Murphy. They are, for another thing, set in different countries.

Euro Trip is not a sequel to Road Trip. Both are quite enjoyable, though. Again, one is set in America and one is set in Europe.

When Big Hero 6 first came out, I hesitated to see it because I hadn’t seen the first five installments. I’m glad I soon realized my mistake, because I really enjoyed it.

Back to the Future is a weird title that suggests it’s a sequel, but it’s really a time travel movie. I remember when it first came out that one of the radio ads explained the title.

If anybody wants to search, films starting with Another are a whole genre.

I actually ran into someone who thought the movie was great and said they wanted to see the first Max Dugan movie.

There were so many copycats, homages, riffs of that kind of movie that it might had been the 18th movie!

A Bridge Too Far isn’t a sequel to A Bridge Far Enough

Menace II Society isn’t a sequel to Menace Society.

And Jungle 2 Jungle isn’t a sequel to Jungle Jungle.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad was actually the first of 3 Sinbad movies made by Ray Harryhausen
