The joke there is that it is totally inconsequential to the plot. Not a very funny joke, to be sure, but a joke nonetheless. ---

Stantz getting an invisible blowjob in _Ghostbusters_. (Apparently it was part of a scrapped subplot, and Dan Aykroyd somehow convinced the filmmakers to keep that one scene in the film.) ---

I know I’m going to catch hell for this, but the whole “I drink your milkshake” scene was _very_ WTF to me. And still is. ---

No judgment! I’m not sure if you mean the metaphor was WTF or you didn’t understand what was happening. He was using the straw as a metaphor for how he sucked up the other guy’s oil right up from under his nose. I don’t remember exactly how he did it. As for the murder, I found a great article in the Atlantic to illustrate that point. He was so filthy rich he was no longer accountable for anything he did. Nothing mattered any more. (I’m having trouble finding the article because it wasn’t about the film, it was about attending a Jeff Bezos event and realizing how removed from reality he was.) I loved that movie. ---

Speaking of Dan Aykroyd and blow jobs, how about the scene in _Trading Places_ when he gets out of jail, and Jamie Lee Curtis appears to go down on him on the steps of the police station? With people walking by and not reacting at all? When I was a kid watching this I thought it was hilarious, but looking back on it as an adult… for reals? Is he really supposed to be getting a blow job right there in public? ---

In Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette there is a montage of Kirsten Dunst trying on shoes and there is a brief shot of a pair of Converse sneakers in a box. It was clearly an intentional stylistic choice by the director but everything else in the movie is basically period appropriate. ---
