I add movies based on a lot of critic reviews, ratings at Rotten Tomatoes and, of course, Doper recommendations. So when I saw **Art of War** with Wesley Snipes in my Netflix Instant queue I was puzzled. Has a whopping [16% at RT](http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1099604-art_of_war/). But I must of added it for a reason, right? Hell if I know. Couldn’t pick out one redeeming quality. Awful. ---

Hmm. Sounds like “Meeks’ Cutoff” might be the new standard for “bad, pretentious art house Western”! Can “Dead Man” hold on to the crown? (I’ve watched “Dead Man” what a pile of oats! ---

I like westerns, especially Clint Eastwood ones. So I was very surprised to find that the critically-acclaimed, Oscar-winning _Unforgiven_ was not very good, and came across as a cartoon at times. ---

I was hoping that _Judge Dredd_ would at least be campy, dumb fun that I could enjoy, but it was just unwatchable. I think I quit after 15 minutes or so. ---

I thought it was a truly great film when I first saw it, but I have to admit is doesn’t seem to have held up over the years. _The Outlaw Josey Wales_ is the true classic. 😉 ---

It always seemed to me that the director had some sort of bet going about who could make the dullest most inane movie ever. He may not have won, but damn, he would have been the one to beat. ---

I disliked _the Squid and the Whale_ but thought I would give the director’s next effort, _Margot at the Wedding_, a chance. Big mistake. I ejected the DVD after 30 minutes in.
