The first two that came to mind were **Independence Day** and **Point Break** , but this thread is practically a Devlin/Emmerich appreciation thread and Point Break has already gotten much love. But we’re on Page 4 and **The Warriors** has only been mentioned tangentially so far.😕 “I’m gonna shove that bat up your ass an turn you into a popsicle.” How can you not love that?! Kinda in the same vein, (fight porn vs. battle porn), the original **Red Dawn** , gets me the same way. Two more to mention: **Colors** **The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh** (basketball fan here) ---

_Big Trouble in Little China_? Really? I don’t think movies that set out to be over the top campy should count. There are a few already mentioned multiple times, but here’s one that hasn’t been mentioned before: [Bunraku](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunraku_%28film%29) It’s like Baz Lurhmann, Quentin Tarantino, and Akira Kurosawa all went out drinking together and decided to make a movie. Problem was, they never stopped drinking. ---

I’m not sure if **Billy Madison** should count because it is an unforgivably cheesy and stupid comedy, but it’s one of my favorites and I can quote almost the whole damn movie. I never get tired of it. ---

When someone says they liked or even SAW “Plan 9” they almost always mean “I saw the movie Ed Wood”. No one has seen more than 20 minutes of Plan 9 - the kitsch appeal ends at minute 18 and the last 2 we watch out of spite. Like finishing Ayn Rand just so she won’t win the battle. ---

These aren’t that bad as far as “guilty pleasures” go. I OWN the Godzilla remake with Matthew Broderick for fk sake. I don’t think you can sink any lower than that without hitting 1970’s Eastern European porn. ---

I am proud of all of you. 🙂 Joe Versus the Volcano is one of my all time favorites. I couldn’t get my wife to enjoy Big Trouble in Little China, or Escape from new York, but she loves Overboard. I don’t get it. ---

**Terminator 2** was very camp and silly **Jurassic Park** was also new technology over any semblance of reason **Speed** … ridiculous I wouldn’t say any are bad, just that tastes have changed a lot since they came out and nobody is asking they be re-released. Watching them now is more a trip down memory lane than for their plots.
