I didn’t walk out of _Wing Commander_, but when it was over, I asked for my 50 cent ticket price back.

And somehow, no one has yet mentioned _Titanic._ I didn’t actually walk out of this one, largely because my ride didn’t want to leave, but I did sleep through the middle 15 hours or whatever it was.

I walked out during the opening scene of **Broken Arrow**. I don’t even think the credits had finished. Got my ticket price refunded.

I walked out of **Air Force One** , but it was about 1:20 in, so they wouldn’t give me a refund.

I should have left **America’s Sweethearts**.
Always ask for a refund if you walk out on a movie, especially if it’s less than half over.

I walked out of The Killing Fields. Not because it was a bad movie, but because I. Just. Couldn’t. Take. It.

During the scene where the group of villagers are walking through the mind field, I started to shake and I had to get up and leave. It was showing free at the student union at the time. If I’d a paid 7 dollars for it I probably would have forced myself to continue watching. Like I did during Platoon.

“Maverick” with Games Garner and Mel Gibson (and Jodie Foster, who I can barely stand in a good movie.) I lasted about 15 minutes before I couldn’t take any more mugging and sat in the lobby staring at the animated standee for (I think) either ID4 or Godzilla for the remaining hour and a half. It was far less annoying.

Caddyshack II (Jackie Mason - BLECH!) and Hot to Trot (Bob Goldthwaite as a talking horse) were a couple more winners I couldn’t stomach, but I didn’t pay to see them.

I nearly forgot my most-hated movie: _ **Gone Fishin’** _.

Granted, I rented it, but it is one of the only movies that I have fast-forwarded through…3/4’s of the movie to see if it gets better. If I had seen it in the theater, it would become the first movie that I have ever walked out on.
Why’d I even rent it? Well, at the time it was the only new release I hadn’t either seen or didn’t care to see. Plus, I thought, “Joe Pesci and Danny Glover…how bad can it be?” Oh, how wrong I was…

Y’know, I’ve _loved_ a few of the movies mentioned as walk-outs in this thread: Moulin Rouge, Magnolia, American Beauty. I hope this doesn’t make me a bad person.

I have actually walked out - as in, left the theater, bye bye, the only way this could get better is if the film caught on fire - of exactly one movie, and I don’t even remember the name of it, 'cause this was when I was about 13. The movie had Chevy Chase in it, though, and it was some pathetic spy spoof. About 45 minutes into, my friend and I exchanged glances and, moving as one, left the theater. I can’t say that I’d hate it with the same passion now; it’s quite possible that I missed most of the jokes because I rarely saw movies and never watched television. (Although my friend did both and she didn’t get it either, but maybe it was an age thing.)

I wanted to walk out of **Titanic** but couldn’t, because it would’ve meant leaving behind my LO, who really liked the costumes and wanted to stay. So I just hung out in the lobby for, oh, about three years. Didn’t miss much, as far as I could tell; every time I checked back in, they were still running through water up to their knees.

I didn’t exactly walk out of **Jerry Maguire** , but I did spend 45 minutes in the bathroom and the lobby.

Oh, and I wanted to walk out of **Se7en** ; I really, really wanted to. But I had to watch the thing for a stupid class assignment. (It was a forensics class - the assignment was ‘list the errors made in this movie and what should have been done instead,’ though I think the real assignment was just 'sit through a really gross movie, ‘cause folks, sometimes dead bodies are pretty darn gross too.’) It is a tribute to my LO’s loyalty that she also stayed through the movie, despite a) being a severe hemophobe and b) not being the moron who signed up for the class.

I have only walked out of one movie, **Congo** , and that was only because the friends I went with wanted to go, so I acquiesced. Can’t say as I disagreed with their opinion– **Congo** SUCKED–but I don’t walk out of movies, no matter how wretched they are.

Even bad movies can be fun if you play MST3K in your head as you watch.

**Transylvania 6-5000** - I have no idea what we were thinking
**A Day (or Night) in the Life of Jimmy Reardon**-River Phoenix
oh the humanity…

If I could have, I would have walked out on \*\* Spawn\*\*
**Congo** - It was when the hippo attacked that I had to get up and wait for my date in the lobby

Videos I never finished…
**Happy Texas**
**Drowning Mona**
**Nurse Betty** but only because I had to return it
**Shadow of the Vampire** actually, I fast forwarded through it
**Four Rooms**
**Ed Gein**
**The Suburbans**

I’m sure there are dozens more but its time for bed

Actually I _liked_ it. I loved Geena Davis in the Vampira outfit.

I finally saw **Cast Away**. Pretty darned dull. I fast-forwarded a lot, but I stuck it out.

**City Gent** : Shatner wasn’t in _Ice Pirates_, but according to the IMDB, Robert Urich, Anjelica Huston, and Bruce Villanch all were. One of my favorite movie from my childhood. Just like _Cabin Boy_ was one of my favorite movies from high school. You uncultured boobs. 😉

The only movie I’ve ever walked out of was _Hannah and her Sisters_. I was eight at the time. I have no idea why my parents brought me to that movie.

I had never walked out of a movie untill I saw **The Messenger: Joan of Arc**. The movie blew so much (I might have been ruined due to seeing the GOOD version of this movie)I just up and walked. She was way to violent, and femministic. Too 90’s, I just couldn’t handle it.
It must have caught on, that I could walk out of a movie that is, because I left during **Moulin Rouge** too. I know it was apparently supposed to be spoofy and ignorant, but I couldn’t handle the level they took it to. Bye bye bad movie.

True, but that can be dangerous. More than once, the people I was with have had to nudge me and point out that I was laughing out loud during a serious, emotional scene. “Tomb Raider” was the most recent example.

I probably would have walked out of **Reckless Kelly** if I wasn’t melded to my seat by a kind of open-eyed coma throughout the movie.

I have never walked out on a movie. 1) I am too cheap. 2) I don’t go to see movies that seem to have a high risk of boring me to tears - I wait for the video (see reason 1). I took a punt on **Moulin Rouge** and **Pleasantville** , and loved both of them. I refused to take a punt on **Doctor Doolittle 2** because it looks like the kind of movie that would make me want to get up and walk around from time to time.

My mom and I returned **Meet the Parents** to the video store after a half hour. They gave us a new movie and a free rental.

But other than that, I’m usually pretty easy to please.

We should have walked out of **Autumn In NY** but we were having fun MST3King it. In our own sad little way. (My mother isn’t very raucus, but she is adorably cute and funny.)

I walked out on “The Wildbunch” in 1969, Sam Peckinpah’s claim to fame. I am about as liberal as they come, and about as unflapable also. But his “new” style slo-mo death sequences didn’t sit well. YOU can argue for days/years about his techniques, but they struck me a phony at the time. And in bad taste. YMMV.

I forget the name of the movie I walked out of. It was about a few people trying to be super heros. Later I tryed to watch it when I saw it on cable, couldn’t stand the movie. I didn’t even make it as far as I had in the theater.
Some movies I’ve seen on TV I just can’t take I have to change the channel. Like when they recently made Mist’s of Avalon into a movie, they change to much of the book to fit tv. I hate it when that happens

That was \* Spys Like Us \* and it was pretty wretched. When Chevy is good, he’s very good, but he’s usually very bad.
The only movie I walked out on was \* Purple Rain \*- once whatsername took her top off, anyway. What an awful excercise in self indulgence. Some people should never be let in front of a camera for more than three minutes, and most rock/pop perfromers qualify in that regard.
