Clearly it was an actual adventure. The cast of the cheesy, long-cancelled sf TV show actually went into space and encountered real aliens, who eventually sent them back to Earth in a detached part of their starship. The bad-alien boss unexpectedly came along but was gloriously defeated in front of hundreds of cheering fans at the _GQ_ con.
