I walked out of:

**The Final Terror** - Remote woodsy slasher flick, too gross.

**The Fly** - Too gross when he started pulling fingernails off his hand.

**The Rocketeer** - Seemed dumb, I wasn’t in the mood.

**Hellraiser 3** - Disturbing, gross, stupid.

**Maximum Overdrive** - Too gross, gory.

I don’t tolerate gory, gross movies very well.

Walked out of: Orca (too stupid to live) and Woo (Jada Pinkett was supposed to be sassy/wacky/lovable but just came across as a total bitch).

Slept through: Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (I didn’t know that a movie could be that slowly paced…).

**Naked**. David Thewlis. If I want to watch rat-faced wankers spouting self-absorbed bullshit, I’ll go to a party full of philosophy undergraduates. Or stay home and eat paperclips until the urge passes.

The only movie that I walked out of in a theatre was _The Neverending Story_. Since I was born in 1980, that should give you some idea of how old I was when the flick came out. At the scene when they have the wolf snarling in its den, I lost it, busrt into tears, and demanded my father take me out.

“It’s just the big bad wolf”, he said.
“I wanna goooooooo!” I replied.

In my adult life I’ve never walked out on a movie, but I have stopped watching a few DVD’s. I had rented _Alexander_, and damned if they didn’t find a way to make freaking epic battles -boring-. About half way through I asked my fiancee if she cared about what was happening or wanted to watch the rest of it, she said no, so off it went.

My parents took me to see the movie **Annie** when I was ten, most likely since my sister was five. It seems I made a great many snide and sarcastic remarks about this musical, and when asked to pipe down decided the lure of the PacMan and Death Race 2000 machines in the lobby seemed more inviting.

Fortunately I’ve never paid good money to see pretentious Peter Greenaway crap. Having read this thread, I do regret not walking out on twaddle like the Blair Witch Project. I liked Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid and American Werewolf in London, though, even when young. Especially that terribly over-acted scene where they go into the pub, get lots of dirty looks, and are warned to stay off the moors.

I’ve never walked out of a movie (part of going to so few movies to begin with) but I fell asleep several times during Mission Impossible. That movie doesn’t make any sense to begin with and it makes even less sense when you sleep through parts of it 30 minutes at a time.

E.T. It was being shown at the local theatre, I was 4… He scared the living SHIT out of me. Og help me, I was cheering for the government guys to nuke the little bastard.

_shudder_ 😉 My dad finally gave in and took me out of there. Wouldn’t sleep without my nightstand light on for weeks! Uuuugh.

Haven’t walked out on a movie in my adult life, but wish I had, at some times. I know I’ll be shot for this, but man, “American Beauty”? Guh. I did end up falling asleep. Thank Og.

Well, at least we have an answer to that damn “who’s afraid of the big bad wolf” question now.

The latest **Solaris.** Didn’t walk out, but was cheerfully refunded the ticket price after it was over. “I understand completely” was the managers quote.

I have walked out of exactly one movie in my life: Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band

I have sat through: Body Double, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Daredevil, and that Bruce Willis Asteroid film redeemded only by his trying to kill Ben Affleck with a Shotgun.

I have enormous willpower to watch a film to its end so I know how terrible it is.

SPLHCB was simply too much for me – I lost it somewhere in the I want you so bad convertable drive.

I Actually tried to watch it once on cable – it is probably the most unwatchable piece of crap ever commited to film.

I walked out of the _X-Files Movie_, and also the Quentin Tarantino film _4 Rooms_.

The fact that I walked out on _4 Rooms_ when it was the last film in a triple-showing and it was probably about 3am and I was quite prepared to take my chances as a lone female in an otherwise deserted theatre lobby should tell you something about how vile that movie was.

I have been unable to see or hear of Quentin Tarantino since without thinking of that twisted, sick, depraved movie.

> It wasn’t exactly walking out, but I was loaned a copy of Napoleon Dynamite and I couldn’t watch the whole thing. I didn’t see it in theaters because it looked dumb, but everyone I work with kept saying, “It’s so great, you should see it!” and such, so I borrowed someone’s copy of the movie. I turned it off when Napoleon is trying to feed a llama ham. I had not laughed once and thought to myself, “I am not going to waste another second of my time trying to figure out why someone thinks this movie is funny.”

Second. I rented this from Netflix and spent about 45 minutes waiting for it to start being funny before I could take no more.

I did, however, stalk angrily out of my living room after renting the new King Kong.

I walked out of “Colors” – I forget why but it really did not hold my interest. I think it is critically acclaimed for Robert DuVall or Sean Penn, but ack it was boring.

I slept through “The Avengers” I didn’t even get to see Uma in the tight leather jumpsuit. Other than that, I have tolerated such garbage as “Cannery Row” “Superman IV: The Quest for Peace” and “Cider House Rules”

I fell asleep during **Reign Of Fire** , missed probably 2/3 of it. From what I hear, I didn’t miss much though.

When I was a kid, my Grandmother took us out of **The Care Bears Movie**. I don’t remember why, but something about it being evil. Biblethumper family and all that.
