I have a backup disk of my old computer that used Windows XP and IE 8. I can’t figure out how to get to the bookmarks I saved there in order to transfer them to my new computer.

In what folder are they stored?

There is no Favorites folder there. I’ve checked through the entire backup for Favorites and didn’t find them.

I guess I have to assume that it didn’t get copied for some reason.

I’m just jumping in to agree with Shagnasty - that’s where I found the Favorites items on a couple of Windows XP machines that I just checked.

I’ll note that the machines I checked all started with (I believe) IE6, were then upgraded to IE7, and then upgraded to IE8. I suppose it’s possible that starting out with IE8 would yield different results.
