Moving the hashmarks in the NFL

That’s basically how college works, as the hashmarks are considerably wider, and it’s not uncommon to see some really shallow-angle field goals from time to time.

Personally, I like the idea of making it less offensive-biased. The pro game already has too many things which make it… homogenous compared to the college game. Narrow hashmarks, different clock rules, etc… all serve to take any external influence out of the offense’s consideration.

Yeah, but I’d love to see it where, when someone goes out of bounds on the 5 yard line and then have 3 pass tries at a touchdown have to make a decision – should we try again, or try kicking from just inside the out-of-bounds line at the five?
