BTW, Apartment Search is free to the renter. You just tell them your criteria, and they search the apt complexs that are signed up with them. If you are interested, I can look up their number for you.
If you are interested in a non-apt complex apartment, the local papers list apartments. I found our place (the first floor of a house) through the local newspaper. The Detroit Free Press has some apartment ads online, as does the Oakland County paper (I forget the name, but I know I found it online, too).
