O Wise Ones! Longtime lurker here.

I’ve been offered a (prestigious, time-limited) research position in Jerusalem, starting next academic year. I’ve never been, and don’t speak any Hebrew or Arabic. (The working language where I’m going is thankfully English.) Any tips, advice, experiences to share?

(For the record, I’m not Jewish, come from Western Europe, and am fairly used to living in different countries from my native one.)
