I mostly stand*. I mean, it’s free motion. How cool is that?
*Except the few times I’m in jeopardy of being late.

I also mostly stand (always to the right and out of the way of walkers). Sometimes it’s a chance to catch my breath, sometimes it’s a chance to check my phone, mostly I’m just lazy. I generally walk faster than the moving walkway, so if I feel like walking I’ll skip it.
I’m in the “walk, unless my legs are really restless after a long flight, in which case I stand” camp.
I walk, fast. I also walk on escalators. I think a couple of decades of living in London has trained me to view walking as a speed event - got somewhere to be! Therefore I’m also one of those people that can’t stand people who amble along sidewalks/pavements. We call it ‘London Rage’.
Yeah, but walking along at 7mph (or whatever it comes to) with little effort is even cooler.
