Why? What’s the harm? I’m not really worked up over it, but I always scratch my head when it happens. If they are so mundane and pointless why not let them devolve and go away on their own? ---

In **Twicksters** defense this has been an ongoing issue but ----- this thread was getting some good replies in both “actual” and “fun” categories. And some other folks have used MPSIMS to unleash their mental health issues. So all in all I gotta go with “let it stand”. ---

Yes, it’s the home of all kinds of posts, mundane and pointless, profound and mysterious, funny and meaningful, and that’s great. But it’s not anyone’s personal blog. That’s what is being fought in this example. The SDMB is not your personal blog, if you want one you should go get one and not try to make one here. ---

If this is about the thread I closed this morning, it was because the staff had instructed the poster in question to stop writing OPs about his mental health issues. I have closed others because they are totally content-free. It’s a judgment call, which is what they pay me the big bucks for. ---

Just an aside observation. I find the interactions here with the mods and other sites to be in sharp contrast. I like the ongoing chat users and mods have here. A little ego and humour on the mods part, outright indignation and humour on the users part. Nice blend! The house always wins! ---
