Nobody ever cops to basing their positions on a particular issue on things like PC. Most such people don’t even think that they’re doing it, and in some cases they could even be right. The likelihood of a non-PC poster pitting of a PC poster being successful is probably somewhere between 0% and 1%, especially if the pitting itself is over a PC related issue as is the case here. What I’m saying is that suppose that “react strongly against it” takes the form that the OP is alleging happened here, then the truth of the OP’s allegations won’t matter because most people will feel they “_can’t be bothered to look into your complaint because you’re a douchebag_” or that these are “_some pedantic points that no one else cares about but you_”, and those who bother to address the actual points altogether will dismiss them. And my point is that this is an inevitable consequence of the PC/non-PC divide. The story will always be that these are pedantic points that no one cares about and that the bigger and more important point is that the guy is a douchbag etc. ---
