Yes I am. Admittedly it would be impossible to know beyond any doubt without auditing his records, but there is plenty of evidence to conclude that he could have emitted less over the past few years.
No – if we assume for the sake of argument that he has not reduced his emissions as much as possible, it follows that he is not doing what he seems to be asking from others.
And if you find your husband naked in bed with another woman you cannot be sure that he’s cheating on you.
Maybe he’s just “doing research” or something.
I will certainly stop responding to your statements if you stop posting them.
By the way, you still haven’t told me which “falsehoods” I supposedly keep repeating.
Your reading comprehension is not my responsibility. If you really care about explaining yourself, go back and re-read this thread and get back to me when you’ve figured it out.
Because it is a fact that you, specifically, are casting aspersion and trying to slander the name of Nobel Laureate Al Gore for some obscure political purpose. People like jshore, for example, are talking about science. Why do you hate science and Nobel Laureate Al Gore so much?
You’re wrong. The Nobel Peace Prize Committee thought he was setting such a good example that they awarded him half of the Nobel Peace Prize. The IPCC did the science, and he spread the word.
Because you’re slandering and casting aspersions on Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore, who is a genuine American hero, and I’m not going to let that stand.
You can read the whole thing on that webpage. But, on the basis of this, I would say that Exxon, at least in its public announcements, is actually considerably ahead of you in accepting the science of climate change and expressing a willingness to take actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions!
I already did that, and you didn’t seem to be able to rephrase your question. I can understand how pressed for time you are, with so many aspersions to cast and so much slandering to do.
Soon, I hope.
Don’t you roll your eyes at me. You can just cool it with the personal attacks and disrespect toward other posters. It’s bad enough that you would slander and cast aspersions on Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Al Gore, but now you have spread your personal attacks to other posters, and it’s quite unseemly.
Sure looks like it to me. You’re posted several hateful comments about Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Al Gore in this thread. Why do you hate him and then deny your hatred for him? Are you ashamed?
Maybe not, but I agree with the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, who awarded Al Gore a share of the Nobel Peace Prize for his tireless work to alert the world to the dangers of man-made global warming. For some reason, you agree with his political opponents, who reacted to the news of Gore’s Peace Prize with a campaign of slander, smear and aspersions.
No. They’ve been pointed out to you repeatedly; you ignore them.
You’ve posted well over 100 times, just in this thread. You have failed to convince me that Al Gore is anything less than one of our very best citizens, and you have failed to convince me that your position is somehow more credible than that of the Nobel Prize committee.
Actually, in reading more into Al Gore and what he is actually doing, this thread has improved my opinion of him. Maybe that was brazil84’s intention all along. Maybe this is like a Steven Colbert skit for him.
Adding Geo-Thermal is a more expensive and more drastic step than adding Solar Panels. I know this well. I cannot afford to add Geo-thermal.
In hockey, you can be penalized if you take a dive in an effort to make it look like an opponent has committed some type of infraction against you when he has not.
I’m beginning to think we need something similar here on the SDMB - some sort of “crying wolf” kind of moderator warning.
(I have no doubt that this will draw another iteration of “Please take your personal attacks elsewhere.”)
I am not attacking you, I am pointing out that you have repeatedly slandered and cast aspersions on the character of Nobel Laureate Al Gore. Are you so ashamed of your behavior that you would deny it?
For the record, you’re totally wrong. Please stop slandering Nobel Laureate Al Gore. You’re embarassing yourself, and making me feel embarassed for you. The fact is, that the Nobel committee thought he was worthy of sharing the Nobel Peace Prize with the IPCC. They did the science, he spread the word.
You attacked me and other posters. It’s not my responsibility to dredge up your vile hateful slanders. I find them unseemly.
No, you made hateful comments, not legitimate criticisms. In fact, you just did it again.
