Dear Mr. Manners, I’m looking for a subtle way to brag about my penis size. Is it acceptable to start a thread polling male Dopers on their physical characteristics, so that I might coyly post my own, thereby impressing female Dopers(and a few males, too)? And even then it’s in dubious taste. The proper way to discuss the size of one’s genitals is to casually mention it in conversation. For example, Poster 1: I don’t see how the Jedi can run around with their light sabers on all the time. Wouldn’t they bash into things or trip over them or something? Poster 2: I think they would. I often have that problem with my similarly sized penis, and what a bother it is! Mr. Manners ---

The other nice thing is that if you later call the same moderator a Heartless Nazi or a Godless Commie and get called for inconsistancy, you can defend yourself by claiming that the target of your wrath has evolved since your previous post. Mr. Manners, if you would be so kind, to consider certain additions to your well reasoned tome? 1. Posts wherein the poster attempts to dismantle one’s opponents argument, which start with a childish re-inventing of the poster’s name automatically forfeit. So, for example, should some one suggest that “Mr. No-Manners” is wrong, they would forfiet (special exception made when certain somebodies re-name the poster so they can be found during a search are excepted 😉 ) 2. Pit threads wherein the total posts made by the OP approach 50% of the posts made in the thread, should suggest that, well, the thread itself was not the best idea. Thank you, oh thank you. This may be a hijack, so I’m going to start my own thread on Yoda’s Syntax. I’ve listened to it carefully recently (though I haven’t seen AOTC) and I think I have a good theory as to what is going on. I’m going to be majoring in Linguistics and so I know a little bit about stuff like this. If you’d like to hear the theory go the thread on the topic. I’ll post a link later.
