I tried. I did… to search the forums for a question that I had about setting up Outlook email. I think I already asked this a few weeks ago.

Database error. On every search.

So. I must ask again.

I have my new accer net book and am trying to get it set up. Need some help setting up the outlook email (I know. But Outlook it is)

Question 1 - I’m asked this on the set up -

Incomming mail [POP3, IMAP or HTTP] server.

? I have absolutly no idea what to put here. My email address? Beats the hell out of me.

Question 2 - I am asked this -

Outgoing mail [SMTP] server.

?

No one can help you until you have this information from your ISP or work, or whatever youre trying to connect to. If you honestly dont even know your email address then I assume you dont have one. I suggest you make an account somewhere like on gmail and then get the IMAP settings for gmail and put it in your outlook.

After looking at your profile here… It will probably be something like
**[mail.hughes.net](http://mail.hughes.net)** for your inbound server and **[smtp.hughes.net](http://smtp.hughes.net)** for your outbound server.

You can also try [Hughes’ automated tool](http://hnetemailsetup.hughesnet.com/default.html) that claims to be able to set up Outlook 2002 and 2003, as well as Outlook Express 6.

If that doesn’t do it, have a look at [this PDF](http://www.montanasatellite.com/manuals/HughesNet%20E-mail%20Setup%20Instructions.pdf)that lists what you need.
