I’m an old married woman who kept her maiden name (what a quaint term!) and I also use Ms.
Several decades ago I worked at a place where Ms was allowed to be used only by divorced women on staff. Since I used my own name (not that of my husband) I had to refer to myself as ‘Miss’.
