# MS-Word97 macro hotkey problem.

I use MS-WORD97 with Win98SE. I used to have some macros recorded which I would use with combinations of hotkeys but they have not been working for a while now. I thought maybe they were lost or something. Right now I recorded a new macro and it does not work using the hotkeys but if I go to the macro list (Alt+F8) it is there and I can click on it and it will run. Why are the hotkey combinations not working and what can I do about it?

If you Quit out of Word97 and use the same hotkey from the Desktop, does it perform some action? I’m thinking the OS is interfering with it. Conversely, you could assign the Macro some really unlikely hotkey combination and verify if that works or not.

I am not using the same hotkey for anything else. As i say, it used to work. I’s annoying to have to use the macro list every time.
