# MSN Explorer keeps popping up

My bro’s computer keeps popping up a window for him to sign in to MSN Explorer. I guess this is some kind of web browser? Anyway, we can’t get it to shut up. We’ve been through the Add/Delete Programs list, and a Startup Control utility that shows what’s being booted automatically. Nothing in the Taskmanager looks like the right name.

Suggestions?

Go to the Control Panel, open Internet Options, then open the Connections tab. See if MSN is listed as a connection. If so, delete it.

Now go to Control Panel/Add & Remove Programs and get rid of it. It’s probably labeled as just “MSN”.

It’s an Internet Explorer shell that uses a lot more system resources than just IE.
