Does anybody have any copies of the first five episodes? I believe they were done on basic cable, and from the few shots they showed in an old documentary of the show, they were very white-washed and incredibly poor production value. Actually, my favorite MSTie moment came towards the end of, I think, _Wild World of Batwoman_, when poor Tom Servo is reduced to shrieking, “END! END!” at the screen. ---

I still believe that the double feature of Mr B Natural/War with the Colossal Beast is MST3K at their best Mr B Natural- The scary male/female pixie teaching a innocent how to play his ‘horn’. If a prancing pixie appearing in your room while you played with it did not scare, the sugary sweet voice sure would “Knew your father, I did!” “Come on! Grab your horn or we’ll be late!” “You gotta inspect your horn, boy…” The Return of the Colossal Man was hilarious in itself. “Glenn passes a truck on the highway” (as beast eats bread truck) and who can forget Mike Nelson as the Beast! ---

Yes, It’s too bad that the reruns are being pulled ☹ I introduced some friends to MST3K at a movie night Friday. I think I’ve created some new fans. They really liked the line from the short Body Care and Grooming that goes roughly like this: (Girl looking unkempt and untidy… NARRATOR: It’s not the sort of look that will make him want to treat you like a human being. CROW: Yes, to make him paw you, grope at you…) We also watched Horror of Party Beach, and at church this morning, they were singing "Sodiummmm, Sohodiummmm… when I was within earshot. They mouthed “Look Polish!” at me across the sanctuary… (From Horror At Party Beach: Boy singing: “Love me forever…” Mike: “Or I’ll kill you.”) ---

i gots me lots of tapes, i managed to be in an area that didn’t have comedy central for the entire run of the show there, we got it within 2 weeks of the show moving to Sci-fi, which we didn’t get for 2 more years. now my mom tapes the show for me every saturday, and i can pick it up when i come home on holidays. i also get older episodes from a “supplier.” i recently got _Attack of the the Eye Creatures_, where we learned that “they just didn’t care!” That was the funniest end segment i had ever seen! And you gotta love the Hitler building being destroyed in _Invasion of the Neptune Men_! If anyone is interested in tape-trading, just give me an email for a list. ---

How about some other fave moments from MST3K? Ones I can recall off the top of my head… I also liked the Hitler building references from Invasion of the Neptune Men. The Canada Song! “Jeeedddd!” (The Leach Woman) A Patrick Swayze Christmas (from Santa Claus Conquers The Martians) The riff where they make the running thief in the priest costume sing hymns during The Rebel Set. In Skydivers, the shot of the jumper’s face wobbling and moving violently as it’s hit by the wind. (Tom Servo: “Good thing he didn’t jump naked…”) ---

I know this is going to be hopelessly vague, but perhaps someone will recognize this and be able to provide me with what I seek. During one of the breaks, Crow and Mike each sang a rather derogatory song about either Scotsmen, or maybe Candian Mounties. As I remember, they were making fun of them, but weren’t being to visicious. Then Servo started to sing, and started out in a light and easy manner. C & M explained to him he wasn’t going along with the theme, to make fun. So he started again, and with each verse became more and more upset, until he was singing in a almost uncontrollable rage, flailing his little arms around, until C & M had to physically restrain him. It was an absolutely hilarious bit. Is there any chance someone remembers this and can fill in or correct the details, or perhaps someone who knows the lyrics each sang? I’d be eternally grateful. ---

That was the Canada song from the episode with Final Sacrifice. Basically, Tom thinks we should bomb Canada city by city. i don’t have the lyrics written out, but i am sure someone knows it by heart. ---

Did anyone ever figure out what the plotline to “Castle of Fu Manchu” was supposed to be? I’ve seen this episode twice. I remember something about icebergs, a heart transplant, and a lot of poorly shot running around scenes. I have no idea what the movie was supposed to be about. ---

I think, notcynical, that you might be referring to the “Canada song” from season 9 show, The Final Sacrifice. This is pulled from the Satellite News website. Song: “Oh I Wish I Was Back In Old Canada.” [SOL] Mike (telling a joke): …and the drunk guy says, “I can’t help being an idiot, I’m Canadian!” Crow (Laughs): You’re right, they’re so pathetic, Mike! (Whistle blows, Tom comes in wearing Mountie uniform) Tom: Enough! There’s been too much Canada-bashing for far too long! I say: no more! Mike: Don’t you mean: “No more, eh”? I’m a disgrace to my uniform! Mike: No, no, that’s okay, calm down. Mustn’t hate! Mustn’t hate! Crow: At least so overtly. Mike: Exactly, right. Must disguise our hate, just a little. (Commercial sign light goes on) Okay, we’ll be right back. (To Tom) It’s okay, now, Dudley. Tom (still sobbing): Pardonez moi! Pardonez moi! (cut) ---
