I go PC first if there’s a PC version, then PS3, then 360, unless there’s mention in reviews or otherwise that a particular 360 version is much better than a PS3 version. Mostly, I just like the PS3 controller a bunch better than the 360 controller. Keyboard and mouse come first, though, not to mention the potential to mod a lot of things on the PC, and the simple fact that niche strategy games are usually PC only.

> Wow, of all the systems that buying used/refurbed would be a bad idea, 360 has to top the list. Unless you’re hoping to find one with the old kernel version to hack or something.

Pish, [they](http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=bricked+wii&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8) [all](http://gizmodo.com/5021399/playstation-3-firmware-24-bricking-some-ps3s) [have](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_technical_problems) documented problems. The nice thing about having all of the consoles is that each gets 1/3rd the use. I swapped this 360 out with an infant mortality problem, and just recently replaced the DVD drive (now that I think about it, the infant mortality problem with DVD related.) The replacement drive was _$10_…granted, it required a little soldering on the logic board swap…but the price sure was right. Figure that refurbed units get tested harder.

(I have _zero_ desire to derail this into a ‘my solution’s better than yours’ debate.)
