I disagree, one of the victims is responsible for the gun policies in this country and has an A+ rating by the NRA; his getting shot doesn’t change that fact. You had **Ditka** make a crack about the shooter’s politics and he got a pass, but suggesting getting shot by a lunatic doesn’t automatically make you a hero somehow crosses the line?

Let’s call it a polite suggestion. Note that neither of the people I responded to were disparaging the victims, which may account for the more gentle response.
