# Multiple replies but no views?

I feel like I’ve seen this question before, but I couldn’t find it in a search and (obviously) don’t remember the answer…
I’m subscribed to thread that currently has 14 replies but 0 views. How is that possible? Does it mean that everyone who has viewed the thread has also replied (in which case “views” does not mean what I’ve always thought it did)?

The number of views is not refreshed every time a thread is viewed. Only once an hour or something like that.
That said, I don’t know how it’s showing 0. Every new thread I’ve seen has 1 view, the OP’s.

One of the threads I posted in more than half an hour ago, which I’m now auto-subscribed to, shows as 0 views in my User CP. In the subforum index it shows 7 views (reflecting how many posts, not views since the thread isn’t an hour old yet). I would venture a guess that the subscribed thread list updates views with more of a delay, while the subforum index updates the thread views every hour as Frank suggests.

Thanks, guys. That would explain why the aforementioned thread went from 0 views to 113 views seemingly within minutes. 😉

When I created this thread and then clicked on “User CP,” it showed 1 view (mine). But the next time I clicked on “User CP” it showed 0 views. Weird.
