Suppose I get the first vaccine that’s available. Then a better vaccine comes out. Is there any advantage (or disadvantage) to getting the second one as well?

The three vaccines announced so far (Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca) are all said to be 94-95% effective. I don’t think you can get better than that.

Frankly, I’m a little nervous about this new tech. Though I’ll probably dutifully get my shot, no way in hell am I mixing it up with other brand new vaccines. No one can answer your question, panache. How can we know interactions of brand new products other than theoretical guesswork?

Remember a certain percentage of people who have vaccinations get side effects. So the more vaccinations the more side effects.

With the shingles vaccine the older one was so poor that it is recommended to get the newer one. I would assume something like that if it was found to likewise.
