According to the police spokesman on the video, he thought it might have been because those parts were covered by maggots at one point, which might fool an observer into thinking they were gone, but once the larvae had died off and the parts were visible again, you might convince yourself that they had actually regenerated.

I’m leaning more towards some kind of hysteria, myself.

Anyway, as for myself, in the hopes of ending up better than THAT corpse when I kick off, I’ll have to remember to get a proper dehumidifier, and start using an office chair packed with natron. (I’d rather end up as jerky, not sashimi.)

I’m currently [reading ALL about it.](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0393324826/qid=1136989331/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/104-9607823-9818313?s=books&v=glance&n=283155)

Oddly, it’s a good read, one most Dopers would like. 🆒

Why did the caregiver keep turning the TV every day?
It’s obvious that the woman was bored stiff.

😃
Couple things: I feel bad for the kid–talk about fodder for life long therapy! I, too, wonder about the SS check–I have seen families ask to keep Mom alive until the next month etc, so…

And I am appalled at the degree of ignorance demonstrated here–I agree with the neighbor guy who spoke.
And maggots gross me out.

My late husband died in front of his computer in our home office, while I slept on the couch in the living room. He had a diagnosed heart problem.

But I called the proper authorities. I just can’t imagine…

Ya know, if she were part of a Nielsen family, it would explain a whole lot of things…

Ha, ha!
Seriously, though, I don’t see how merely an AC could do all _that_ much good, if there was no attempt at phlebotomy, dessication, removal of internal organs, or embalming. You couldn’t preserve meat in a fridge for anywhere near that long…
