# Mundane and Pointless to you, but I think I'm a genius!

This may seem trivial to everyone else, but I just set up my very own wireless network in my house! I was able to add my Wii (and my daughter is watching a movie from Netflix as I type) and I added her computer as well (which had never been used online before).

I didn’t even have to call my dad or my brother-in-law–I’m proud of myself! And for 5 minutes (maybe less), my daughter thinks I’m cool! 😛

Congrats!!! I hate home networking, but it does make you feel better when it is done. Make sure you secure it, or at least change your SSID and disable broadcasting your SSID.

I gave it a distinct name and password. I have no idea what you mean by “disable broadcasting the SSID”??

On your browser, open your router. If you have linksys, there will be a tab for security, broadcast SSID is the default. Uncheck that box.
