In Kurt Busiek’s super hero book, _Astro City_, thinly disguised Superman expy The Samaritan has recurring dreams of flying. Of course, he can fly in real life, too, but in real life, he’s always flying someplace as fast as he can, to save someone’s life. It’s always a means to an end, and never an end itself. In his dreams, he just _flies._ ---

He’s not bothered by a stone in his shoe. He can eat sugary snacks all day and not worry about cavities. (although…could his diet affect his body in any way? I mean, Clark Kent eats…what happens to that food?) ---

Stubbing his toe on the furniture doesn’t bother him. It probably bothers the furniture clear across the room, though. He either has custom design alien technology furniture, or a closet full of stupidly cheap ikea stuff he can put together in a second. ---
