I read about [this](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDFgtFXfnv0) in Entertainment Weekly today. I laughed so hard that I immediately called my parents to tell them about it, and so I could listen to them crack up while they watched. I will always fall back on this video if I need to laugh! ---

Featuring what are probably my 3 favorite muppets, though I think the opening verse lasts too long given that the subsequent chorus is given short shrift. I like this [Beethoven](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpcUxwpOQ_A&feature=related) one better. šŸ™‚ ---

I did see the Ode to Joy one also. God I love the Muppets. Watching the videos actually made me sad that Jim Henson isnā€™t still alive to see his legacy go on, but I guess thatā€™s why he had so many kids. šŸ™‚ ---

All the overdubbing efforts are funny, and itā€™s a clever idea, but that fact of the matter is that the original is so hilarious that it makes any effort to ā€œmake it funnyā€ seem totally pointless. The original is an all-time top funniest Muppet (or any other) sketch. ---

There have been a couple of threads about the viral Muppet videos, but did you know that there are [more new Muppet sketches on their website](http://www.muppets.com)? Pepe and his Popsickle-stick friend is insane genius, especially the line, ā€œItā€™s true, itā€™s in the Library of Congress.ā€ As far as the classics are concerned, I know ā€œMahna Mahnaā€ gets a lot of love, but I am convinced that by far the greatest Muppet sketch of all time is [Java](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r395r7V7hjo). Itā€™s got everything that makes the Muppets great- catchy music, weird creatures, physical violence, explosions, and a twist ending. ---
