I’m a huge Muppet fan and I liked it! The charm in any Muppet movie is all the throw-away jokes. Also the running gags…which I guess in this movie was the whole struggle/love fest between the CIA and Interpol, and the big/little juxtapositions (like the “Lost? Try the Hare Krishnas” in _The Muppet Movie_, or Fozzie & Kermit being twins in _The Great Muppet Caper_) I really liked the songs, especially the opening sequel song, the song with Sam the Eagle and Ty Burell doing the interrogation and realizing the Muppets were too stupid to be criminal materminds, and the “Number Two” song with Gervaise. I also really loved the Muppet Show theme song in different languages! I get tingles down my spine when I see the gang together so any Muppet movie gets my vote of “Awesome!” The best and funniest is still\* The Muppet Movie\* but I think this is a fine representation of a Muppet movie (not-quite-there voices nonwithstanding). ---

I found the movie underwhelming. It did not measure up to the last movie which I thought was great. The short was awesome though. ---

Still, _The Great Muppet Caper_ reigns supreme in my book. Lots of laughs, the characters and performers at their best, and just a very well constructed narrative overall. “You can’t even sing! Your voice was dubbed!” “Look, Dad! A bear!” “No, honey, that’s a frog. Bears wear hats.” “Yeah, it’s great when it works!” (one of the best lines in Muppet history- but the context is integral) ---

All I remember of _Muppets From Space_ is that it’s Gonzo-centric and it’s the only movie I’ve ever gone to by myself. I remember it introduced Pepe, too. I haven’t seen it since it came out but I bought it on BD recently so I’ll have to watch it soon. But really, I can’t be saddened by watching anything Muppets (and by Muppets I mean Muppet Show and Sesame Street muppets - I can’t get behind _the Dark Crystal_!) I agree that there can and must be be a worst Muppets movie but I’d still rather watch it than _Love, Actually_. I watched _The Great Muppet Caper_ the other day and you’re right it is super fun and the songs are great! And the twins thing is my favorite running gag.
