[I’m kind of outraged-out on this issue](https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=877382) (for anyone looking for the conservative response to abhorrent Trump policies, this thread has quite a few and they are quite fucking telling - why yes, one of our _moderators_ is in fact a goddamn sociopathic fuckstick), but I will say that any day that Stephen Miller feels safe, secure, or comfortable is a bad day. ---

Like, seriously. At what point is enough enough? At what point do we, collectively, decide that we’re not going to take this, that we’re not going to wait for someone else to figure it out, for another (broken, fraudulent, obviously corrupt) election to fix things? At what point do we fuckin’ storm the barricades? How much human suffering is enough before we decide that enough is enough? Or are we all just going to spend the next few years staring gormlessly at atrocity after atrocity that seemingly nobody cares to do anything about? ---

I’m a Reagan Republican and (in Aus) a Howard Liberal. Right wing. Liberal, Dry, Conservative. Over here, ‘liberal’ means small government, slightly libertarian in a safe middle class kind of way: it means you want the government to be liberal enough to leave you the hell alone. Our Right/Conservative, wet, reactionary, populist Australian government has the same deportation polices as Trump, deporting anybody they can find an excuse for. It makes me sick. Ill. Stressed. Angry. Frightened. Pissed off. Bitter. Disenfranchised. First they came for the Mexicans. Then they came for the sick and elderly. It’s a valid question. If the system itself is being perverted or taken advantage of by people who use it to further goals that are antithetical to the spirit of the system then at what point are you no longer obligated to work within the system? For every period of fascist or other authoritarian rule there was such a point.
