I found it useful for composing and sometimes just jamming, but while playing gigs, the short-term memory thing came into play, and I would sometimes forget lyrics (I sang as well as played) or lose my place in the song (especially during solos) or even forget what song I was playing mid-song. I could alsmost always recover pretty quickly, but another characteristic of being high is that every mistake seems amplified (and you become acutely aware of the slightest mistuning as well), so I eventually made the decision to play all gigs completely straight and sober. I had to front as ell as play, so I needed to be somewhat coherent.
Well thank you all for the interesting anecdotal observations.
Does anyone have any idea about the actual question though? About how it impacts the brain? Where’s Sentient Meat when you need him?
Weed + jazz music = Phish
I’m sorry, but even the most massive amounts of grade A stick won’t help me appreciate Bartok.
But I now have a hankering to listen to Jolsen next time I imbibe.
Maybe, but Reefer + Jazz Musicians has = Jazz since it’s beginning
Louis Armstrong wrote a song about weed.
So did Cab Calloway. “The Reefer Man.” Calloway is the man. His songs are hilarious.
What do you mean?
