Years of video game use have taught me the value of being prepared for every possible eventuality. By which, I mean, having an approprite soundtrack mix ready for the occasion. (Yeah…) So, that leads me to my question…does anyone have any suggestions for music to listen to while rollin’ around in a tank? My list, so far… •_My Tank_—The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets •_All for the Love of Sunshine_—Hank Williams (Do I have to say why?) •_Burning Bridges_—The Mike Curb Congregation (ibid) •_The Battle_ and _Barbarian Horde_ from the _Gladiator_ soundtrack •Immigrant Song—Led Zeppelin •_Kyrie des gueux_—As performed by the French Foreign Legion •“Tiger Tank” track from the _Medal of Honor: Allied Assault_ soundtrack •The _Panzerlied_—(As seen in _Battle of the Bulge_) •_Battle on the Ice_—from _Alexander Nevsky_ …Anyone else have any suggestions? ---

I’m sorry - this is one of those occasions where you DON’T mess with the classics. “Ride of the Valkyries” by Richard Wagner. No other alternatives. 🙂 ---

Anything from [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=385620&highlight=fastest+drummer) thread should work - Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, Hate Eternal, Emperor, etc. Stationary Tank Music is different, more classical methinks (Judas Priest, Sabbath) ---

Sister Ray - Velvet Underground Twenty or so minutes of utterly disorienting chaotic noise, with the radio screaming barely intelligible nonsense - “I c-c-c-couldn’t hit it sideways” - “He cocks it BANG he shoots between three and four”, becoming more garbled towards the end until silence. No more fuel, ran out of ammunition or dead. ---
Track 1 from Conan the Barbarian.
Excellent choice. That’d be Anvil of Crom by Basil Poledouris. I’m reaching back a bit but I think he studied under Carl Orff of Carmina Burana fame. ---

“Panzer Division” by Marduk. Do not Google \*anything \* about Marduk from work, many of their song titles are really NSFW. They’re a black metal band from Sweden for those interested. [Next page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/music-for-thundering-along-in-a-tank/373237.md?page=2)
