There is a new Vin Diesel movie trailer playing on TV for some new…creation…called Babylon AD. I do not care about the movie, but the violin music playing is very awesome and something I’ve heard before but cannot place. Can anyone tell me the name of the piece? ---

Yes, that’s it! The music kicks in at about 00:37, and then in earnest at about 1:04. ETA: Also, thanks for that link. I didn’t realize that IMDB had trailers available to play – this could be fun! ---

It’s from the soundtrack/score of “Requiem For A Dream”, composed by Clint Mansell. I’d have to go dig out the disc to remember the specific title of that particular track. It’s been used in a ton of trailers since RfaD came out. thwartme Or I could just look it up on Google … it’s called “Lux Aeterna”. ---

It’s actually a special remix made for the _LOTR: Two Towers_ trailer, and put on a CD called “[Requiem for a Tower](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Requiem_for_a_Tower)” due to demand for it. ---
