# Music like "Bonobo"?

I accidentally came across a band called “Bonobo” a while ago. It’s electronic, and has a jazzy, laid back kind of feel. I’m trying to find similar stuff, but having a difficult time.

Is anyone familiar with them, and if so, familiar with similar music?

I particularly want to find stuff that’s structured like the songs “Silver” and “Kota”.

I purchased their album ‘Dial “M” for Monkey’ practically on the name alone a few months ago, and really like it too. (Thanks for the reminder they’ve got another album which I need to check out…)

I can’t say that I’ve got any very similar recommendations… So I’ll just offer another great accidental find, “The Earth is Not A Cold Dead Place” by Explosions in the Sky. Less jazzy, but about as inspirational as I’ve ever heard instrumental music get.

I was going to suggest you try the allmusic listing, since they often have “If you like this, you might like that” – no score on Bonobo, though. I can’t get the link to work – it’s at allmusic dot com – check out their genre listings (downbeat et al. for Bonobo).
