Not quite sure if this is quite what you mean, but I lost my virginity while the song “Father Figure” (by the late George Michael) was playing on the radio. That event is forever associated with that song for me now. Unfortunately, the song lasted longer than I did that day. ---

Old? Pffft I remember cigarette ads that used popular and classical music. Lark (used the William Tell overture) and Chesterfield 101s (just a silly millimeter longer, 101!) I think rephrased a few bars of La Bamba. ---

It’ impossible for me to hear the _Dance opf the Hours_ from Ponchielli’s _La Gioconda_ without hearing Allan Sherman turning into “A Letter from Camp” (“Hello Muddah! Hello Faddah!
