I can’t believe nobody has mentioned the following yet: Anything by Portishead The Cure’s album “Disintegration” Roxy Music’s album “Avalon” (with great sexy sax on the title track and throughout) Lovage’s “Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By” (an entire concept album of trip-hoppy sex music, featuring Mike Patton of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle, and Jennifer Charles of Elysian Fields) I hesitate to mention Dave Matthews Band’s album “Crash,” but it works wonders if you’re in college (or even better, if the girl is). And Massive Attack is good too, in the same vein as Portishead (although I’m not a Massive Attack expert). ---

I have not tried this, but Leftfield - Original. It’s not the lyrics… it just has that rhythm and makes me think of amber lighting and wet hair and warm breath on flesh. ---

Oooo, I just remembered two more instrumental songs from movie soundtracks that I like to listen to while in the throes of passion: “Love on a Real Train” (Tangerine Dream, _Risky Business_ (which, btw, I actually got to live out that scene a few times)), and the opening theme to _Conan the Barbarian_ (Basil Poledouris). The second one sounds as if something big is about to happen 😃 and it gets my blood pumping. ---
