Bahaha no kidding. The friend who introduced me to them in the 70s said something like “you’re going to love this, but sometimes it’ll feel like Satan is talking to you.” Just the right thing to say to a 16-year-old kid in Texas, and sometimes accurate.

Hehehe, nope, entirely appropriate IMHO. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing that’s “too obvious” when we’re dealing with a genre that is pretty much for the act of (and often has lyrics/titles about) smoking weed. Though, I do know of people that are into the genre that don’t like weed.
I left off Sleep and Electric Wizard because I already had over an hour’s worth of music in my last post.
And yeah: they are, for stoner bands, very well known.
