Gorgeous in a sultry, pouty way - nice, languid voice with an idiosyncratic tone. Like if Amy Winehouse was more classically beautiful, not so trainwrecked and had a somewhat quirkier voice. Just [signed to Interscope](http://pitchfork.com/news/44440-lana-del-rey-signs-to-interscope/)so she used youtube to get a record deal. I could be a fan… ---

Hmmm. Intriguing. She sounds pleasant enough but the song is kind of droning and repetitive. I’d have to hear more. I don’t think Amy Winehouse is a really apt comparison. My immediate impression was a Fiona Apple clone (whatever happened to her, anyway?). ---

I don’t really want to comment on her music or her looks, since I’ve just heard/seen the one video (kind of annoying video, though – WTH with the bikes? was that her boyfriend shooting/editing the video as a favor? looks terrible, like a 1980s MTV thing) – but if she puts something together, it might be really something. Hope she keeps doing what she’s doing – she has a real individual sound and look. ---

Saw her on SNL last night. Had come across the name but knew nothing about her. Liked the song. She seemed very nervous. Before her first number there was a shot of her standing on stage. I was half asleep and watching on a small tv. My first thought was that it was somebody dressed up to look like a pregnant Beyonce. Then during her song she seemed to just stand there and then turn around every once and a while so everyone could see her figure. Is that part of her “act”? ---

The first thing that struck me is that her mouth looked very odd. Not attractive to me because of that, although without the strange mouth she might be okay. Hope that’s not something she’s done to herself.
